10-2 Central

High-resolution central field test for macular disease and advanced glaucoma monitoring.

30-2 Standard Threshold

Expanded threshold field covering central and mid-peripheral defects beyond 24-2.

Screening / Suprathreshold Fields

Foveal Threshold

Targeted measurement of central foveal sensitivity for detailed macular assessment.

C-40 Screening

Rapid suprathreshold screening for broad visual field abnormalities.

N-30 Screening

Efficient suprathreshold screening focused on central visual field defects.

Superior 36 (Ptosis screening, Suprathreshold)

Targeted suprathreshold test for detecting superior visual field loss.

Specialty Visual Fields

Esterman Driving

Functional binocular field test commonly used for driving eligibility evaluations.

Full-Field 120

Wide-field screening test assessing peripheral visual sensitivity.

Full-Field 60-4 (Coming Soon)

Peripheral-focused threshold pattern for advanced loss and neurologic assessment.

Kinetic Visual Field (Goldmann-Style)

Kinetic perimetry mapping of peripheral visual field boundaries.

Color Vision

Accurate Color Deficiency Assessment

Integrated color vision testing including Ishihara plates and D-15 hue arrangement. Identify congenital and acquired color deficiencies, support neurologic and retinal evaluation, and document findings clearly within the same diagnostic workflow.

D-15 Color Vision Hue (Coming Soon)

Hue arrangement test used to classify and grade color vision deficiencies.

Ishihara Color Plates

Pseudoisochromatic plate test for screening red-green color deficiencies.

Neuro-Ocular Function

Expanded Diagnostic Confidence

Go beyond static perimetry with integrated ocular motility, pupillometry, and kinetic field testing. Evaluate alignment, neurologic function, and peripheral boundaries within the same platform—expanding diagnostic confidence without adding new devices or workflow burden.

Extraocular Motility (EOM) — NEW!

Assesses eye movement control and alignment across gaze directions.

Pupillometry

Quantitative measurement of pupil response to light stimuli.

Cover / Uncover Test (Coming Soon)

Assessment of binocular alignment through structured cover testing.

Thresholding & Validation

Accuracy You Can Trust

Advanced BOLT (BOLT+ coming soon) thresholding delivers performance comparable to SITA Fast and SITA Faster, with real-time eye tracking and fixation correction for pointwise precision. Automated calibration, QA logs, and independent validation against Humphrey ensure reliable clinical confidence.

FAQs

Questions about Carrot?

As a company that’s creating and innovating the category of virtual visual field testing, you likely have questions about what we offer, how it scales, and how we support our network of providers and practice administrators. Please browse our FAQs or contact our team.

Yes. Carrot supports one-click export of visual field testing and perimetry results as PDF, CSV, and structured data formats compatible with most EHR systems. With DICOM 360 Sync (available with our Pro subscription), finalized reports are automatically pushed to your EMR/EHR and PACS, eliminating manual uploads.

Carrot delivers Goldmann kinetic perimetry using a VR visual field headset that projects moving stimuli in a controlled digital environment. Patients respond as targets enter view, while built-in eye tracking records isopters, replicating traditional Goldmann testing without room-sized equipment.

The 24-2C visual field test adds 10 central test points to the standard 24-2 pattern. This addition increases sensitivity to early macular glaucoma while adding less than 30 seconds per eye compared to a standard 24-2 visual field test.

Carrot automatically analyzes mean deviation (MD), pattern standard deviation (PSD), and visual field index (VFI) across a series of 24-2 tests. Statistically significant trends are highlighted to support faster, more confident clinical decision-making.

Yes. Carrot automatically generates DMV-ready Esterman visual field PDFs, including patient identifiers, fixation losses, and pass/fail summaries formatted for common driving evaluation requirements. Reports can be exported instantly or auto-filed to your EMR/EHR.

Pupillometry testing with Carrot takes approximately 15–20 seconds for both eyes. Simultaneous infrared imaging captures accurate pupil response data quickly, minimizing patient disruption and chair time.

Carrot allows you to export pupillometry and functional vision test results as PDFs and video recordings. With DICOM 360 Sync (available with our Pro subscription), results are automatically and securely transmitted to your EMR/EHR and PACS, matched to the correct patient record.

No. Carrot does not currently offer a visual acuity test. We prioritize clinical accuracy and validation, and current VR hardware limitations prevent consistent, high-quality digital visual acuity measurement across all patients. If technology advances to meet our standards, visual acuity will be evaluated for future inclusion.
